67A Few Things About Ploiesti
Life in Ploiesti is like everywhere else in a small city. Although Ploiesti is one of the biggest cities of Romania, it only covers an area of almost 60 square km. It is at one hour distance from Bucharest, the capital of Romania. The city has been mentioned for the first time in 1503, indirectly, in some papers which name several people who had their residence in Ploiesti.

Real Estate in Ploiesti
I've got friends who work in the real estate sector. One of them says this:
The idea is briefly, that the prices for land in the center of the city are extremely high, thus making potential customers wait for a change. There are very few transactions in the real estate market, compared to previous years.
Crisis in Ploiesti
Real estate is not the only sector of the economy which is suffering the effects of the crisis. More and more people in sectors such as textile industry, petrol industry, geamuri termopan or commerce lose their jobs. Finding a new job can be extremely challenging, especially for older people. I'm seeing day after day how less people go shopping in supermarkets, or in designer outlets. People started to realize that they don't need fancy designer clothes to be appreciated. Besides, if everybody decreases the life standard, nobody would suffer.
